The spacious Superior Double Room was a highlight during my one-night stay. The hotel embraces its past as a former prison with creative decor that gives it a unique charm. I appreciated the effort to maintain a cozy atmosphere while highlighting its history. The breakfast was a nice start to the day, with fresh options, though the powdered eggs left something to be desired. I also enjoyed the nearby attractions, especially Turku Castle and the Archangel Michael's church, which were just a short taxi ride away.

Creative decor that highlighted the hotel's unique history.
The room we stayed in was far too cramped. There was unnecessary furniture that made moving around nearly impossible, especially with a baby. To make matters worse, the bed was unbelievably uncomfortable and I could hear loud conversations seeping through the air vent, which ruined any chance of relaxation. I was shocked that there was no mini fridge to store baby milk, although the staff did offer to help, it felt like a basic expectation was missed.

The Moroccan pancakes were a must-try, a delightful twist that danced on my palate! Plus, the breakfast buffet was loaded with local products—totally a feast! The cozy atmosphere made it perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Turku.
While I expected a little more from a four-star, like having outlets next to the beds and a functioning TV remote, we managed just fine. It’s all good, just a friendly nudge for future upgrades!

Couple unique experience
The staff was super friendly and gave us a nice tour, explaining the history behind the building, which used to be a prison. The breakfast was pretty decent, especially the crunchy bacon—the highlight of my mornings there.
It wasn't inexpensive, but still reasonable given the unique experience.

A Unique Stay with Memorable Moments
Despite some hiccups during check-in and a brief fire-alarm interruption, we enjoyed our time. The breakfast was a highlight—delicious and varied. I appreciated the thoughtful touch of dog snacks for our pup. Future guests should expect a cozy atmosphere but be prepared for a cooler room.

I stayed in a Family Room with my family for one night. The room was spacious, clean, and surprisingly quiet. I liked the large double bed and the bunk beds, which were sturdy and safe. Our dog received a warm welcome with snacks and a toy, which was a thoughtful touch. I appreciated the pet-friendly nature of the hotel, although the access to the pet wing wasn’t particularly appealing. The breakfast offered a nice variety, but the powdered eggs were not great—I expected better. I found the parking situation a bit unclear, and it was disappointing that there was an extra charge for parking, which felt off considering the condition of the area. The location was nice for us, being a little removed from the busy city center provided a peaceful stay. Overall, the service at breakfast and check-in was friendly and accommodating, which I really appreciated. However, the bed comfort could use some improvement since the mattress was a bit too soft for my liking. Overall, I enjoyed my stay but noted a few areas that could be enhanced.
